Tree blocks south Charlotte road
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — About 800 customers were still without power Thursday morning after storms rolled through the area Wednesday afternoon. At Mulberry Presbyterian Church off of Tuckaseegee Road, a large tree covered most of the parking lot. It was snapped near its base because of powerful winds. Power Outage
A severe thunderstorm raged through the area yesterday taking out trees and power lines. A storage shed on the west side of town was also destroyed after what appeared to be a lightning strike. Fire crews made six separate runs and utility crews were called out for power outages. This tree between 7th and 8th streets on Mulberry came down and took some lines with it.
